The statute

O.C.G.A. § 16-11-62 (Eavesdropping, Surveillance, or Intercepting Communication Which Invades Privacy)

What it prohibits

Clandestinely recording another’s private conversation originating in a private place (Georgia requires all-party consent for private conversations), or using any device without the consent of everyone observed to photograph or record their activities in a private place, out of public view. Law enforcement acting within official duties is exempt.

Penalty

Felony — 1 to 5 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $10,000.
