The statute
Fla. Stat. § 810.145 — renamed “Digital Voyeurism” in a 2024 amendment
What it prohibits
Using or installing an imaging device to secretly view, broadcast, or record a person who is dressing, undressing, or privately exposing their body — without their knowledge and consent — in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Also covers distributing such images.
Penalty
Varies by offender age and record: under 19 = first-degree misdemeanor; 19+ = third-degree felony; second or later conviction = second-degree felony.
